The Opinel N°08 Chaperon is a premium folding knife meticulously crafted by Opinel, showcasing a distinctive handle created through the marquetry technique developed by Bruno Chaperon.

This exquisite handle is composed of four different species of wood, including ebony, rosewood, violet wood, bocote, cocobolo, zebrali, boxwood, and amaranth, resulting in a striking array of shades and patterns.

The blade is constructed from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, polished to achieve an elegant mirror finish and enhanced with chrome for anti-corrosive properties.

Additionally, this knife is equipped with the patented Virobloc safety ring, which securely locks the blade in both open and closed positions, ensuring safety during use and transport.
