Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

I am Matthieu Mégard, Cheesemaker and owner of L'Artisan Cheese. We specialise in producing organic French-style cheeses near Warrnambool in Victoria.

What is your first memory of Opinel?

My first memory of Opinel goes back to when I was about 8 years old. My Grandfather gifted me an Opinel knife. It was a popular choice among my friends, and I found it incredibly useful while exploring the mountains. We would eat and carve wood with it, creating lasting memories.

If you had to choose just one, what would be your Opinel knife of choice?

While I appreciate the versatility of the cheese knife, my knife of choice would be the classic Opinel number 5, the one I had as a child. It holds sentimental value for me and brings back fond memories of my early adventures.

Can you describe Opinel in three words?

Childhood, Tradition, Quality.
